Gravel Roads & Driveways - FAQ's

Made or Repaired * Quick & Pretty

Larry, where do I start?

All it takes is a phone call, (530) 273-3922. I'll come out to meet you, discuss your job and give you a free estimate.

How long will my Gravel Road or Driveway last?

Usually 3 to 10 years depending on the use or abuse and weather. Remember, proper compaction is extremely important to the life of your road or driveway.

What about drainage?

I will clean and reshape old drainage ditches and make new drainage ditches where necessary to be sure the road or driveway drains properly.

How do I maintain my own road or driveway?

Keeping the drainage ditches clear of debris so the road or driveway continues to drain properly will extend the life of your road or driveway.

How long will it take to complete the job?

The amount of time it takes to complete the job is based on the road or driveway made or repaired, the average is 1 to 2 days.

What equipment do you use and how is the job done?

I will use a Ford 800 Series Finish Grader Tractor with rippers and multiple angle blade or a Model 65 Fiat/Alice Motor Grader if necessary to insure proper drainage. I will then compact the gravel, after it's been graded and moistened with water from the Water Buggy, using a 5000 lb Dynapac Vibrating Roller Compactor to insure maximum compaction, smoothness and durability of the gravel road or driveway. Proper compaction is extremely important to the life of the road or driveway.
